The Faculty of Health Management is seeking to fill the following position as soon as possible as part of the DFG-funded third-party project “Digital Public Health Assessment Framework for Yielding Advancements” (DigiAfya):
Research Associate (f/m/d) in the field of Digital Public Health / Global Health Informatics (100%)
Your Responsibilities
- You will contribute to the adaptation and validation of an evaluation framework for digital public health interventions in low-resource settings.
- You will coordinate research activities with international project partners in Germany, Tanzania, South Africa, and Rwanda.
- You will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of qualitative and quantitative studies, including systematic literature reviews, focus groups, Delphi methods, and case studies.
- You will analyze research data using mixed-methods approaches as well as data science methods for pattern recognition and the evaluation of digital health applications.
- You will contribute to scientific publications, conference presentations, workshops, and international dissemination activities.
- The opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of Digital Public Health / Global Health Informatics is expressly provided.
Your Profile
- You hold a very good master’s degree (or equivalent) qualifying for a Ph.D. in Medical Informatics, Digital Health, Public Health, Global Health, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- You have an interest in digital health technologies, public health, and international research collaborations.
- Knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is an advantage.
- Experience in the field of Digital Health, Global Health, or the evaluation of health interventions is desirable.
- You work independently, in a structured manner, and are team-oriented.
- Business-level proficiency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Initial experience with academic writing and publishing is desirable.
